Custom robot header tags in blogger tells robots how a page is indexed and crawled . In this specific option you are liable to instruct robots and spiders not to crawl some specific pages

Blogger has now made it easy for bloggers to select this option in their blogger settings
This same tag might lead your contents not to get indexed again by google that is why i made reasons to explain all the tags for seo purposes, these are the outlined tags and their descriptions

Selecting this option means you are indexing all you website pages this mean the spider are free to anything on your website selecting this option can also be change when editing a post after you have already activated it search preference

No index
Choosing this option means you don't want your specified pages to get index ,this tells spider not to show specific pages in search engine result pages

No follow
For greater optimization you shouldn't select this tag, it tells bots not to crawl all the internal and external links on your pages, and we all know internal links helps in better rankings in serp

None
This specifies you are chosing both nofollow and no index

No archieve
This option specifies that none of your pages will be added to google cache and the cache url won't show up on google

Nosnippets
This tell search engines not to index your post snippets that is your post description or you description meta tag

Noodp
This option removes both your blog title and snippet meta tags from open directory projects e.g DMOZ

No translate
Instructs robots not to translate pages into serp noimageindex Tells spider not to index your post images but on post title and description will be visible in search engine result pages

How to set custom robots header tag for seo

1. Login to your blogger dashboard and bang on settings

2. Below setting click on search preference>>Custom robot header tags
The tick the boxes as shown below

3. Then hit save

The first which is homepage i chose 'All' which bots should crawl all of my pages and then 'noodp' which tells bots to not include me in open directory pages

The second which is search and archieve pages i chose no index which means bots show not index any of my search pages like gadgets added and noodp
tells bots to not include me in open directory pages

The third is the same as the first one explained
This method of mine will help you in indexing your content faster and helps in better rankings.
